Another Tuesday means DJ Trivia at Bighorn Tavern on Lakeside. The place is crowded. The beers are on tap and the food specials are posted. The servers are always pleasant, professional and proficient. The management is aware of the crowded Tuesdays and I am sure they are very happy to staff up and keep the customers satisfied. Thank you very much! The ambiance is casual, friendly, family oriented and comfortable. Please be prepared for loud speakers if you are not with the trivia groups. The Gumbo soup with steak, sausage, vegetables and large shrimp is tasty and plentiful. It comes with garlic bread and is a thrifty price. The tortilla chips with guacamole and salsa satisfied four customers (appetizer). The two tacos and a 16 oz draft is always a good deal! See you there next week!

Thanks for having a location closer to the south. Quality/Quantity - Came here for HH at 5pm on a Friday, and were surprised how easily we were able to get a table. Today we got the following: 3 For $15 Snacks - Wow, generous portions. I was worried that there would not be enough food for us, so I suggested we each order a 3 for $15. But as usual, because we are light eaters, we could have just shared one. Hummus - Smooth and tasty. Perfect with the naan and fresh veggies. Too bad I am taking a break from eating healthy, lol. Teriyaki Pork Sliders - So good. Perfect balance with pork, veggies, bun, and sauce. Dry Rub Wings - 4 of the 5 pieces were perfect. Good size wings, decent flavor, etc. One wing was just skin, no meat, and it was over fried. Loaded Bighorn Fries - I was surprised my wife ordered this. It was just okay. The sourcream and soggy fries is just not mine nor my wife's thing. Tacos Al Pastor - My wife LOVED the fermented red cabbage! Generous portions. We were only able to share ONE of the two tacos... BBQ Pork Sliders - Good, but not as good as the teriyaki pork sliders. The veggies made a difference. And to wash it all down - Two 22oz Boneyard RPM IPA's. Actually one would have been enough; I actually had a hard time finishing the second one. Plus my wife pressured me as there was a line finally forming at the door. Atmosphere - Decent size location. Bar, counter top, table seating. Plenty of outdoor seating; well it is the winter, lol. Plenty of mall parking. The women's bathroom was out of order; see picture. And the men's restroom does NOT have a lock. So fairly uncomfortable as I watched all the men enter the restroom when there was a woman inside. Plus the stall did NOT lock either... Open 7 days a week from 9am to 10pm or 11pm. Service - Janice was very good and professional, 5 stars. We watched her service so many tables so smoothly. And always checking up on everyone. Plenty of specials; see website. Daily specials, etc. I think I am coming back on Thursday for ladies night (with my wife of course, lol) as the promotion is 1/2 off bottles of wine and I think they have a $20 prime rib special?!?! Price - $43 + tip. Owner Comment - Congrats on all your success since 2022 with your two locations. See you next Thursday!

This Bighorn location is a lot like the NW Reno spot. Same quality brews. Same food. Same service. The only thing different was the back patio is out front.

We were with a hiking group that stopped in for lunch after a recent outing. Overall, we liked Bighorn Tavern a lot and will go back. Here is what we noticed: - Great casual bar vibe! The day we visited, the place was packed at lunch (on a Saturday). - Broad pub-type menu. My wife ordered the Cajun Blue Cheese & Bacon Burger with a side salad, and I got the Meatball Sandwich with Fries. The portion sizes are huge! The Meatball Sandwich was excellent...just what I was craving. I asked for the fries to be extra crispy, but that didn't really happen (part of the reason for the 4 vs 5 stars). My wife asked for her burger to be cooked rare to medium rare, and it came out medium well to well done (the other reason for the 4 vs 5 stars). She would have sent it back except for the fact that the place was packed and food was taking a while to get out of the kitchen. - The servers would working their butts off and managed very well despite the number of people in the place. We asked for separate checks for our group and our server indicated that she would do that even though there was a policy to break up checks to a max of three individual checks. Thanks! Bottom line: The place was fun and seems like it would be especially great when it isn't so crowded. We'll look for an off-peak time to return!

Although packed with families & sport fans, service was great. Sunday Breakfast included discounted Bloody Mary's that were fabulous. I requested spicy, which was just that! BBQ Pork sliders are a home run. My friend got the Beet Salad & added chicken. Portion was amazing! Ambiance is sports and games... have fun!

I went there today for lunch. We were promptly seated and given menus. The restaurant was pretty crowded. I ordered the prime rib a sandwich special and my partner ordered the chicken Sammy. Our food came out promptly and was delicious! There was an abundance of prime rib, as well as melted cheese and a nice warm cupof au jus. The sandwich roll was super soft and very delicious. The onion rings that came with it crispy and hot. My partner ordered the chicken sandwich and said it was one of the best he had ever had. Our server was attentive and very kind. She kept checking in to make sure our food was good and to see if we needed anything. The ambience is good. They were playing music in the background. I would definitely go back.!

The food at the Bighorn Tavern is excellent! I ate there for lunch and had the Grilled Chicken Sammiewith with avocado, Swiss cheese on a Parmesan toasted focaccia bread and it was delicious. The beer batteted onion rings were hot, crisp and tasty. Our waitress was very friendly and welcoming and made sure we were pleased with our meal. I highly recommend this restaurant and I will definitely be going back.

Took my dad here on a father daughter lunch date for Christmas! There was a decent amount of people there for a mid-holiday week lunch. We ordered some burgers which were a bit on the rarer side but still good. Service was okay, not the quickest but staff was friendly.

I've been going to the Bighorn on 7th street for a long time and have always appreciated it's neighborhood feel and good food menu. I was excited to hear there was a new location and was finally able to get over there for a lunch date with the Mrs. The new location is in a nice quiet shopping center off Lakeside. There is nice outdoor seating with water feature out front, and the inside also looks nice and has the classic sport bar decor and lot's of TVs. It was a beautiful day so we opted to sit outside and were quickly greeted by our server that gave some recommendations for the beers on tap. Bighorn always has a great selection of local and national beers and a broad food menu. I always find myself torn as to what I want, but for this trip I was craving a burger and ordered a Tavern Burger. It was cooked perfectly and is one of the better burgers in town! The fries are also really good with the fresh cut fried, just the way I like them. Everything about our visit was excellent, great service, food and drinks. The Bighorn is a local favorite and family owned business and I'm happy to support them as they always deliver good food and have a great atmosphere. Don't forget to check the specials each day, as well as the daily happy hour which is a great deal: Monday through Friday from 2-6pm 1/2 off all beer. $1 off well drinks and house wine 3 for $15 - Choose any 3 snacks for $15 I'm happy I finally made it to this location and I will definitely be back!

Stopped by bighorn with the family, our first time at this location. It was busy, but there was 1 table open outside that needed to be bused. They jumped on it before we were seated. It was a short wait. The service was great and friendly. Our daughter even asked for a side of pickles, and they were more than happy to provide. I went with the Cuban, and I must say it was one of the best I've had in town, excellent flavor, and cooked perfectly. I would definitely recommend bighorn if you haven't been yet.
